When UEP acquired OMV’s upstream oil & gas assets in Pakistan, I became a part of the UEP family after spending more than two and a half decades at OMV.
Strategically acquiring new companies is quite demanding. However, I think integrating new businesses smoothly is an even bigger challenge. UEP has been highly successful at both. Today we stand strong as one integrated organization – we took the best from both businesses to create a common culture.
UEP’s success has been driven by the tremendous technical knowledge and experience of its people. We utilize the latest technologies to maximize production and reserves of our assets. The company also has an excellent track-record of completing projects, including setting up new processing facilities, at a rapid pace.
Above all, HSE remains at the heart of the way in which we do business. Ensuring our employees and contractors return home safe, at the end of each day, is a leading priority for us. ‘Responsibility’ is one of the four core values at UEP. So we work constantly to enhance our health & safety standards and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
As our country demands increasing supplies of affordable energy, I feel confident that UEP will continue to play a leading role in exploring and developing Pakistan’s hydrocarbon reserves.
