I am from Badin district. My father owns a small acreage of land. Unfortunately Badin usually fares poorly with regard to socio-economic indicators. Opportunities for technical training and sustainable income generation for young people from my area are limited. UEP’s Operator Training Programme addresses this gap.

As an inductee of the Operator Training programme, I have received world-class technical training. I now also have the confidence and professionalism required for working at a multinational company like UEP. I am able to support my family. Recently two of my sisters got married – I felt proud to help my father pay for the wedding expenses.

One of the things I like best about working at UEP, is the emphasis on safety. Stringent HSE policies are in place and regular trainings on safety are conducted for all employees. As a result of this, I am aware of various hazards I may encounter in the workplace. Infact for me this emphasis on safety also extends outside work  – I often advise friends and family about the safety precautions inculcated in me, at UEP, which they too can adopt in their daily lives.

I am glad to work for an employer that cares so deeply about the safety and well-being of its employees and local communities.
