I was born in Badin, a rural district in interior Sindh. About 25 years ago, when I was thinking about what direction my career should take, I heard about the exam for the company’s Operator Training Programme. Sitting for this examination was one of the best decisions I ever made. It led to path of a success I could not have anticipated at that time.
UEP’s Operator Training programme is competitive – only the brightest, residing in the company’s concessions areas, are selected. Being a part of this programme gives your career a head start unlike any other. Recruits are imparted world-class technical training at a specially built classroom and at UEP’s field facilities.
Operators, inducted through this programme, have the chance to advance in their careers and assume senior leadership roles. My career trajectory is a great example of how UEP’s Operator Training Programme helps unlock the potential of local youth.
Today I am working as Manager Production at the company’s MKK concession block.
Although I have spent more than two decades at this company, work never gets dull. I have had the chance to work for several technical functions and each new experience deepened my knowledge of the business.
UEP provides some fantastic opportunities for learning and helps employees discover their true potential.
